Just a short rant about my friend Dennis and his failed weight loss effort. In order to lose weight you have to do what it takes and be ALL IN!
I have gone from being interested to being committed to my health, fitness and business goals. I have to wonder what I could accomplish if I went from committed to FULLY COMMITTED! I am going to find out!! 🙂
Yesterday I posted about the important life questions Jim Rohn suggests need to be answered. So… here goes!
What do you want for yourself?
I want the ability to travel the world and help others. I want to be able to enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and biking whenever and wherever I am. I want a life that has purpose, that means something to me and to everyone my life touches.
What do you want for your family?
I am single right now and don’t know if that will change. But what I want for my family is to be able to help my parents when the time comes that they can no longer work and do for themselves. I want to be able to help my sister in any way she may need it.
What do you want for your business?
I want to be enrolling at least four people per week in my business, in challenge groups. I have a goal of earning $100,000 by November 30, 2013. I want to be giving this business a full time effort!
How much are you willing to give?
I am willing to give a full time effort to growing my business with enthusiasm! I am willing to give of my time to help anyone that I possibly can! I am willing to step way out of my comfort zone in order to reach out to others in the hopes of helping them improve their lives.
How much do you want to share?
I want to share everything that I possibly can if it will be helpful to others, whether that is my time or wisdom or knowledge or enthusiasm or whatever. If it will help others, I want to share it!
What are your goals?
My goal is to build a life and a successful business as an online health and fitness coach with Team Beachbody. My personal fitness goal is to lose weight and get back down into my size 34 jeans. Might be difficult with the Zyprexa onboard, but it should be doable with discipline! I want to help as many people as I possibly can to improve their fitness level and therefore their lives!
Are these goals inspiring?
Yes, they are! 🙂
How do they make you feel?
Excited and fulfilled! 🙂 Meeting and exceeding these goals will create an exciting, meaningful and fulfilling life for me!
I’ve been reading and listening to a lot of Jim Rohn lately and in his book My Philosophy for Successful Living, he says that taking the time to sit down and write out our goals for the present, the near future and the more remote future is a necessary step in transforming our life. He then suggests that we stop and ask ourselves these important questions:
- What do you want for yourself?
- What do you want for your family?
- What do you want for your business?
- How much are you willing to give?
- How much do you want to share?
- What are your goals?
- Are these goals inspiring?
- How do they make you feel?
I’ve been thinking off and on all day about these questions and I plan to take the time to write down my goals and answer them tomorrow. I’m just too tired to do it tonight and it’s getting late.
I am listening to a training series called Maximum Impact by Dr. Lance Wallnau. I found the CD set at Title Wave Books here in Anchorage. It was on sale in their clearance rack for $1.99 and it was money very well spent!
I have listened to the first CD in the set of four so far. Dr. Wallnau spoke about how people who are self-actualized are not stressed out but are instead moving in a state called “flow”. He spoke about synchronicity and coincidences and divine appointments. I don’t know about all that, but I have experienced the state of “flow” he is talking about and it is wonderful.
Dr. Wallnau also spoke about how happiness doesn’t come from having money or possessions. It comes from within when we are living our passions and are present in our lives 100%. We feel frustration when some part of us is not being fully expressed.
Where there is no vision, the people perish. (Proverbs 29:18)
We also need to have a vision. People like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs had a vision that was calling to them, a future that was seeking to be manifested. I too have a future as a fitness professional that is seeking to be manifested! I must become more so that I can help others to become more than they currently are, to be more physically fit than they currently are!
Self-actualization is what I am after. I wish to learn how to be “in flow” more often so that I can connect with others more effectively and help them fully express themselves and realize their dreams!
I have been reading and listening to a lot of Jim Rohn lately. One of his quotes has really been on my mind a lot lately.
All human beings have the ability to transform like a caterpillar emerging from its cocoon and taking to the sky. This is the essence of personal development: taking information in, becoming inspired by it and allowing yourself to be transformed and, in turn, inspire others as well. Seeing what you can become and what you can help others to become is the major challenge in life.
I have bipolar disorder and a life that reflects years of struggle with that illness. But I also have a strong desire for self-improvement — to become much more than I am right now. A year ago I had the good fortune to discover a company called Beachbody, and I began doing their workout programs. I started with Power 90 and progressed from there to doing P90X and then Insanity and then Body Beast. I have changed my body vastly for the better and now I am determined to do the same with my life. I currently live with my father in Anchorage, Alaska. I am lucky to be able to live here and take advantage of the outdoor activities that are so readily available here. But I want more out of life. I want to be able to support myself and to be able to help my parents when the time comes that they can no longer work and do for themselves. I also want to help others do what I was able to do and lose weight and get back in shape. That’s why I chose to become a Beachbody Coach. There is an income opportunity there in the form of an MLM business opportunity and I am interested in the money, but I’m more interested in the satisfaction that I know comes from helping others improve their lives.
I’m just beginning my journey with the business end of Beachbody, but I’m excited to see what I can become and what I can help others to become!
